四川外国语大学国际教育学院是为贯彻学校开放式办学理念，推进国际化教育和交流的进一步发展，依托学校丰富的教育资源而设立的二级学院，始于2005年3月的教育部直属四川外语学院出国培训部国际教育中心，2007年6月成立了独立的四川外语学院国际教育中心，2008年5月更名为四川外语学院国际教育学院，是重庆市最早成立的国际教育机构，也是重庆市最早获得教育部批准的中外合作办学项目的单位之一。
国际教育学院旨在有效利用和借鉴国内外优质教育资源与成功经验，通过系统引进国外大学先进的课程体系及教学管理模式，与国外大学开展多种形式的教育交流与合作，为地方经济发展培养具有国际视野的应用型人才。
2011年4月，国际教育学院与出国培训部、继续教育学院合署办公，共享教学、管理资源，校内简称“一部两院”，具体负责国际合作、出国留学、交流项目的推广和实施，是西南地区唯一拥有各类“外语培训”、“外语考试”、“外语翻译”、“留学服务”、“国际学位”、“海外荐业”一条龙服务的综合性教育服务机构。现旗下拥有海外留学服务中心、外语培训中心、外语考试中心、重庆市中小学教师培训基地、重庆市小语种对外汉语教师培训基地，以及德国的歌德语言中心、西班牙的重庆塞万提斯语言中心、俄罗斯的俄语中心、意大利的意大利语中心、韩国的韩语中心等中外合作语言文化教育中心。国际教育学院以国际视野整合中外优质教育教学资源，提供全方位的教育服务，打造出西南地区著名的国际化、专业化、特色化的金字招牌，已成为无数学子走向世界的摇篮。
学院拥有一支学术水平高、教学经验丰富、敬业精神强的师资队伍，现有在编教职员工46人，其中教师41名，含教授4名，副教授20名，讲师17名，90%以上教师具有博士、硕士学位，所有教师都曾在国外大学学习或进修。学院另长年聘有30余名各语种外籍教师，270余名各专业教师，60余名职员。
学院拥有国际大厦A、B两栋大楼，设施完备、资源丰富。配备语音实验教室40余间、大型教室3间以及可供400余人入住的双人间、三人间及四人间宿舍。
目前，学院与十几个国家100余所大学建立了校际合作交流关系，包括英国兰卡斯特大学、俄罗斯莫斯科大学、西班牙马德里大学、澳大利亚西澳大学等众多世界名校，涉及英、德、日、西、俄、韩、意、法、匈、泰等10个语种；开设有美国、英国、加拿大、澳大利亚、新西兰、爱尔兰、荷兰、马来西亚、匈牙利、日本、韩国、德国、法国、西班牙、意大利、俄罗斯、泰国、美国高中预科、BTEC-HND项目、国际时尚与奢侈品管理专业、航空服务技能培养项目、TMT产业技能培养项目、亲子艺术技能培养项目、国际邮轮管理技能培养项目等近30个国际教育项目；年，学院还与澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学合作办学推出商务英语本科教育双学位项目，成为本校首个经国家教育部批准的中外合作办学国家计划内统招项目。
学院的涉外办学项目数量和专业门类不断增加，办学层次不断提高。目前，成功开展了20余项国际教育预备课程项目，除语言课程外，还开设有会计、国际商务、人力资源、市场营销、法律、经济学等50余门专业课程，并形成了除语言课程外，所有专业课程均采用英、法文等外文进行授课的课程特色。学院以灵活的办学模式、规范的课程设置、严密的教学计划、中外教师并重的师资队伍、科学的教学方法以及严格的教学管理等，受到社会各界的高度评价与认可。

A Brief Introduction to the Training Dept. for Candidates Going Abroad of Sichuan International Studies University (SISU)
Intensive Language Training Center of SISU (ILTC of SISU)
Located in Chongqing, a mountain city and the only municipality directly under the central government in the southwest of China, lying beside the forest park at the scenic Gele Mountain, the Training Dept. for Candidates Going Abroad of SISU is an ideal place for foreign languages study and advanced study with a peaceful environment. It has been one of 11 appointed centers for foreign languages training directly under the Ministry of Education since its establishment in 1979. Up till now, it has trained over thousands of students of various kinds, who are now playing more and more important roles in the construction of modernization of our country.
Famed as “ a regular troop in foreign languages enrichment education”, being a foreign languages training base for students to go abroad, the training center has the longest history in the southwestern region in foreign languages training with the most mature conditions. It shoulders the task to train the government-sponsored personnel to study abroad and also admits self-financed students and the students entrusted by some units or organizations. It has a normal brigade of teachers, the majority of whom have been sent to study abroad, meanwhile, it engages foreign experts or teachers to teach annually. Office clerks, teaching assistants and administrators are all very responsible. Besides, the center owns the latest training materials and audio-visual information for foreign languages enrichment. It has its own teaching building and apartment dorm, which are equipped with modern teaching and living facilities.
The center organizes many foreign languages enrichment classes of different types and layers (including the full-time classes, weekend or evening classes), with the usual schooling period of one year or half a year. It organizes specific training classes or short-term training classes for students to take part in TOEFL or IELTS and the analogue tests of them annually. The beginning time of these classes is usually the same as that of the regular higher learning institutions. You can enroll your name for study at any time per year.
To meet the demand of the situation of reform and opening to the outside world of our country, the center additionally offers special English training classes like the Business English and International Legal English classes which are urgently needed in present economic activities to foster for our country multiplied talents with internationally communicative abilities.
Since its establishment, the center has kept up with times and continually improved itself. Now it has become a comprehensive educational institution that offers services of foreign languages training, foreign language tests, overseas educational consultancy and foreign languages translation.
Foreign Languages Testing Center of SISU (FLTC of SISU)
As a special testing center in Chongqing authorized by the Ministry of Education, the center was set up in 1982. In the past over 20 years it has accumulated rich experiences and has sorted out a set of scientific testing management measures. From enrollment to receipt of test scores, it has a complete set of management steps. Starting from a single undertaker of the Testing Center of the Ministry of Education, the center has gradually marched on the way towards the education test market and has now and then undertaken other kinds of tests, mainly including the tests of TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, TOPE and TOEIC offered by American Educational Testing Service (ETS), the tests of IELTS and BEC offered by British University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES), the test for British Higher National Diploma (HND), German TestDaF, the tests of PETS and WSK, the tests of TOPIK, HSK, NAETI as well as the test for testing Japanese competence and the English oral test of Phonepass SET procurated by United Education, etc.. At the same time it undertakes the English test offered by China Scholarship Council for the government-sponsored study-abroad personnel and the analogue test of New TOEFL offered by Tide Times.
The center is an ideal testing place for various kinds of tests with modern office environment, including completely-equipped special test hall(s), 500 audio-visual seats, 100 testing seats installed with computers and an excellent administrative team with rich experiences.
Overseas Educational Consultancy of SISU (OEC of SISU)
Aiming at such a target of “keeping a foothold in Chongqing, facing the outside world and providing excellent services to society by legal operation”, to offer legal regular channels and services for the students to go abroad, the Training Dept. set up its educational consulting service center affiliated to SISU to foster high-quality international talents for the economic construction and development of Chongqing Municipality and help those who hope to go abroad for further study to have a good beginning.
The center is one of the first regular educational consulting intermediary institutions approved by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Security ( See No.【2000】087 File issued by the Authentication pision of Comprehensive Assets of the Ministry of Education ), which provides all-round consulting and intermediary services on study-abroad affairs. The center has established long-term friendly cooperative and communicative relationships with many universities or colleges in such countries as Britain, the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, France, Japan, South Korea Russia, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, Malaysia, Spain, Holland and Italy, etc..
It provides complete sets of services in study-abroad information consultancy, contacting universities, preparing materials, obtaining visa, enrichment of foreign languages and translation.

The college was established in July, 2005 with a purpose of building a communicative and cooperative platform for Sino-foreign education and scien-tech institutions of various kinds, providing resources and services of educational cooperation and academic exchange for the society and creating more opportunities for teachers and students to communicate with foreign friends. It was set up to conditionally and selectively introduce foreign advanced educational resources and foster international high-quality talents in line with the overall development plan of SISU for further opening to the outside world and being oriented toward the future. Since its establishment, by taking advantage of the dominant status and position of SISU in the international higher educational field and by introducing international advanced school-running theory and model and integrating sources of excellent teachers and teaching, the college has successfully carried out quite a few international cooperative and exchange programs.
